Michaels On the River in Flat Rock

The prime rib was great. The service was good as always but the cocktails really need some work. I ordered a Jack & Coke tall single. When I got the drink it had a really lite caramel color like it either was sitting to long or the syrup in the Coke wasn't mixed right. I drank it because stuff happens but when I was asked if I wanted another I made sure the waitress knew the Coke was off and not right and to please check the syrup before I get another. So I ordered a short Jack & Coke. When that one came out same deal really lite color. I was told that it was the carbonation that caused the color and tast. I drank that one also just because I'm not really picky but I just don't like being lied too. I was a bartender for many years. If the drink comes out looking wrong and you can't fix it. Don't sell it. Try and sell something else.

This place is amazing.There is no other place that has food this good. Very modern. You will not be disappointed.

Bad pic I know, sorry I had the crab stuffed shrimp and the fish and chips....best meal I've had in Michigan yet the crab stuffed shrimp was cooked perfectly nice and sweet crab mix and the fish and chips were some of the best I've ever had, pretty busy but I had fast and great service if you are in the area I highly reccomend eating at Michael's it's worth every penny

Food was good, service not good. Our waitress was not good, the other waiter did more for us than she did.

It was real good food it would have been nice and we can have some drinks but we couldn't because the virus was going on that's what sucked okay

Visited this establishment for the first time with a good friend who had been here before. It is located right by a river like the name suggest. I really like this place. Very inviting employees and patrons. Everything was priced well. The food was good. I will definitely return when i am back in Flat Rock.

The food is addicting... Absolutely Excellent Prime Rib, cooked to perfection. We had an mouthwatering dinner. I came another time with my son, and we just played pool and had some drinks... At Michael’s you can come in jeans just for a fun night, or go over to the dinning side and have an outstanding meal...with either option you’re in a great atmosphere.

Being new to the area we were looking for places to eat. Passed Michaels numerous times, but never stopped. Till yesterday. Went in for lunch with another couple. Excellent. Service was great. Food was even better. My sister in law had a bowl of clam chowder, and decided to take a couple more bowls to go. Perch, hamburger, burrito, and chicken wings were superb. We certainly plan on returning, many times.

Finally was able to stop in here and check it out with my wife , was not disappointed, definitely recommend it if your in the downriver area , or a local foodie looking to try something new , good place to eat at good service , good food , good beer. Love the food, we've tried almost everything and love it all. Homemade ingredients, soups are wonderful and the pizza is great. The staff is really wonderful and most of them treat you like family 😀

They've got great steaks and overall good food. Reasonable drink prices. However, they need to update their Google listing to reflect the times they -actually- serve food and also add a disclaimer that if it's slow, they send cooks home anyway. My time is my most valuable asset and Michael's kind of ruined my fiance and I's first night out in two years. 😒 When they have music, it's usually great. If you are not there for music, I urge you to go elsewhere ... Such a small place makes for crazy loud entertainment.

I really love coming here because the people are really friendly and know sports, the drinks are tasty and the service is fast.

Asked for a medium rare burger, the burger I was given was well done. I politely told my server about it, and I was told essentially "Oh well. Better luck next time" (Not at all what the server said, just something along the lines of the same attitude the server had towards the situation). What's the point in asking the customer how they want their burger to be cooked, if you are just going to not listen to your customers and not care anyway?

The reviews don't lie, awesome food, great service, best beer battered mushrooms I ever had, recommend the ribeye steak, long island iced tea, fried shrimp, even the salad was great. Will be back soon.

Absolutely horrible. We just moved to Flat Rock and wanted a "go to" burger joint. We'll definitely drive past it to go somewhere that has good food, good service, a kitchen that knows how to properly cook a hamburger and where you don't immediately get treated differently if you don't order more than a pop with you meal. Server at the table next to us was more concerned about gossiping and dropping inappropriately loud f-bombs than doing her job. What a waste of $35.

Come here for the Long island's, stay for the great service and friendly guests! Also an awesome selection of food!

Came in around dinner time on a Thursday. For the amount of traffic its clean. The waiters and waitresses seem to be on point. The table by me actually brought in a present for their waiter. (Goes to show others love this place, little older group.) The food is great and a good value. Type of place that cares about adding green pepper to a salad like it should be. The parking lot is very tight but the river is right there with plenty of free parking. Little walk isnt hurting anyone. I would recommend and am kind of mad I haven't been here sooner.

Long wait for pizza but it was good! And they did right by giving it to us free for waiting time so over all satisfied. Thanks Michael's on the river👍

Good food great service our waiter was very attentive and friendly!

Only had the triple appetizer & it was good. Though I've heard their french onion soup is delicious! Next time. The bartender was nice enough to attempt 2 different methods of the Michigan mule & while still tasty it was not the taste of the original I'd had at another establishment & I couldn't name what the taste difference was unfortunately but, kudos for trying! Thank you!

Honestly, pretty terrible experience. Myself and 7 friends decided to meet her and get a few drinks and appetizers before going to a nearby escape room. It started with the waitress asking if we wanted the bill separate or together we said separate but when it came time to pay she hadn't separated it and wanted us to "figure out who owes what", she told us they don't serve "drinks" there but we could get beer, slammed drinks down in front of us, when asked if there was an issue she said she "was trying to take care of the whole place and needed to be there for us". There was maybe 3 other tables. Been here countless times without issue but this definitely left a bad impression on my friends who never tried it before. Probably won't go back

The food was great as always and the Christmas decorations were SPOT on.
